FAQ about Santo Inácio Zoo

• Do not feed the animals. They are fed a specific diet daily for each species and individual.
• Do not knock on the windows, shout or provoke the animals. It may bother and prevent them from showing their natural behavior.
• Do not cross the protective barriers limiting green areas and animal habitats as they ensure both your safety and the safety of the animals.
• Do not throw trash on the floor. Place the waste in the appropriate containers spread throughout the Zoo.

Failure to comply with the rules in force may lead to the visitor being expelled. Keep your ticket until the end of the visit.

Special conditions for people with disabilities and partnerships only available at the Zoo Ticket Office.

There is no need to make a reservation to visit the Zoo. However, you can buy tickets in advance to avoid queues.
For group visits, prior reservation is mandatory.

From April to September: 10am – 6:30pm

March and October: 10am – 5:30pm

From November to February: 10am – 4:30 pm

Zoo Santo Inácio is open every day, except January 1st, December 24th and 25th.

The Zoo has an outdoor car parking space, free and easily accessible. The parking has 4 electric charging stations you can use.

The parking opening hours are the same as those of the Zoo.

All daily activities are included in the ticket price.

Zoo Santo Inácio has several spaces where you can have lunch or a snack peacefully and surrounded by nature:

• Zoo Restaurant for hot meals, open from 12pm to 3pm. No reservation required.
• Lake Bar for snacks and quick lunches. Here you will find a microwave available to heat baby food.
• Picnic Park, a space with tables where you can enjoy meals you bring with you. This space contains lockers (subject to availability) where you can store your belongings. If you intend to use the lockers, you must bring a padlock with you or you can buy one at the Zoo Store or Restaurants/Bars.
• Along the entire route you can find several Bars with cold drinks, coffee and ice creams.

You may bring food and lunch boxes into the Zoo. You must have your own meals at the Picnic Park.

This area has lockers (subject to availability) where you can store your lunch boxes. To use the lockers, you must bring a padlock with you or you can purchase one at the Zoo Store or the Restaurants/Bars.

🔒 Note: It is not allowed to book tables with backpacks, towels or other objects. Tables are for shared use and must be available to all visitors on a first-come, first-served basis.

🚫 Picnics are not allowed in the Restaurant and Bar do Lago areas. Only meals purchased at these locations are permitted.

There is an area with lockers in the Picnic Park where visitors can store their belongings and enjoy their walk more comfortably. Lockers are subject to availability and reservations are not possible. To use the lockers, you must bring a padlock with you or you can buy one at the Zoo Store or Restaurants/Bars. The Zoo is not responsible for any theft or material damage.

All birthday visitors will be entitled to a 50% discount on the daily ticket price.

Conditions for accessing the discount:

• Discount applied only to the ticket of the birthday person, valid for all ages.
• Presentation of the Citizen Card of the birthday person is mandatory.
• 50% discount on the ticket, applicable only on birthdays.
• Discount applied to the current price list, not combinable with other promotions.
• Promotion valid on purchases made at the Zoo Ticket Office.

The bathrooms have nappy changing tables. These spaces are duly identified on the Zoo Map, which you can see here:

Zoo Santo Inácio has 1 and 2-seater pushchairs, ideal for making it easier to visit with small children. Rental is subject to availability and can be done at the Zoo Shop.

Important: These pushchairs are not suitable for babies. They are recommended for children aged 2 and over who can sit up steadily.

Zoo Santo Inácio is accessible for people with reduced mobility, with adapted paths and toilets for wheelchairs. We also offer a special price for people with reduced mobility and/or disabilities: 3€ (only available at the Zoo Ticket Office).

The Zoo also has electric wheelchairs for rent, making it easier for visitors with reduced mobility to get around.

Important: Electric wheelchairs rental is subject to availability and can be done at the Zoo Shop. We recommend checking in advance to ensure availability on the day of your visit.

Only guide dogs are allowed to enter the Zoo.

If you wish to leave the Zoo and re-enter, you must request the Security Guard at the entrance to the park to be allowed to exit the premises. Later, to re-enter, you must go back to the Security Guard so that he can check your entry.

Re-entry is only valid for the day of the visit.

The ZooCard is an annual card that allows unlimited visits for a period of 1 year, as well as exclusive advantages in some services – it can be renewed annually.

To offer a visit to the Zoo, simply buy the tickets online here. You will receive the purchase invoice and tickets in separate emails. You can later send the tickets in digital format – their price is not visible – to your family member/friend.
