Another important step in the conservation of the Cotton-top tamarin (Saguinus oedipus<\/em>), which is classified as “Critically Endangered” by the IUCN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main threats to this species are the destruction of its habitat, illegal capture for use in biomedical research and sale as a pet.
