Wild Lights 2025: An Immersive and Luminous Experience at Zoo Santo Inácio

When the sun sets, Zoo Santo Inácio is transformed into a magical setting where nature takes on new colours, sparkles and shapes 🌙 From November 1st to February 28th, the Wild Lights return for their 4th edition, promising even more dazzling nights full of surprises. After the success of previous editions, this night-time event once again illuminates the largest and greenest zoo in northern Portugal with a trail of thousands of lights and luminous animal figures. This year, there is a big surprise: dinosaurs are joining the party! 🦖

🌟 A show of light and nature

The Wild Lights are much more than an exhibition. They are a sensory journey that blends light, colour, nature and imagination. As they walk along the illuminated paths of the Zoo, visitors encounter wild animal figures of all sizes, created with thousands of small LED lights that fill the environment with colour and charm.

Lions, giraffes, tigers, turtles, fish, flamingos and penguins, among many others, all shine brightly at night. And now, for the first time, visitors will also be able to see incredible luminous dinosaurs, which promise to transport children and adults alike on a real Jurassic adventure.

Each scenario is designed to surprise, stir emotions and remind us of the importance of biodiversity and conservation in a light-hearted, entertaining and inspiring way 🌍✨

🕓 Schedules and dates not to be missed

The exhibition runs from November 1st to February 28th, on weekends, school holidays and public holidays, from 4.30pm to 8.30pm.
During this period, the Zoo offers two types of visits: Full visit to the Zoo + light exhibition – those who purchase a Zoo ticket have free access to Wild Lights on the days when the exhibition is held.

💡 A programme for the whole family

The Wild Lights are perfect for all ages. For children, it is an enchanting experience that combines fun and discovery; for adults, a relaxing walk full of beauty; and for couples, friends, and families ❤️

It is an ideal activity for autumn and winter, when the nights come earlier and the cold weather invites cosy and bright moments.

And the best part? Even after the day is over, the Zoo continues to teach. Each illuminated figure is also a reminder of the importance of protecting species and ecosystems. It is the most beautiful way to learn about nature, under the starlight.

This year, the Wild Lights trail has a big surprise in store: dinosaurs are joining the exhibition!
With giant, detailed figures, visitors will be able to go back millions of years and discover creatures that ruled the Earth long before us. A perfect blend of education, fantasy and excitement, it promises to be the highlight of this edition.
